Our story
Kombi Collective's story begins with a timeless love for classic cars passed down through generations. Gabriela Lopes’ journey into the world of classic cars started when her parents took her to her first classic car show when she was just a couple of weeks old. Growing up, her playground was her father, Jean Lopes, auto shop, and her toys were the beautifully restored cars that filled it. Gabriela spent countless hours by Jean’s side, watching him breathe new life into these timeless classics, inheriting a profound appreciation for the stories that vintage cars hold.
Fast forward to today, together they saw an opportunity to blend her passion for design with his lifelong dedication to restoration. It was only natural that they embarked on this journey. Kombi Collective was born.
Our Craftsmanship
We are dedicated to crafting the highest-quality restored vintage VW Buses, bringing timeless classics from Brazil to the United States and beyond. Leading our team is Jean Lopes, a renowned classic car expert with over 35 years of experience in the automotive industry and a portfolio of 500+ specialty projects, including meticulous restorations and bespoke replicas.
Our team consists of highly skilled craftsmen—painters, upholsterers, mechanics, and more—each bringing expertise and passion to every detail, united by a shared commitment to excellence.
